I get asked a lot whether someone can go straight into a Brazilian Blowout when their hair is very damaged. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. What I always say is: let me look at it first. If the elasticity is really compromised, starting with a Deep Repair session means your Brazilian Blowout will last longer and look better. It is not a detour, it is the smarter route.
Your session
01Gentle moisturising wash to lift product buildup.
02Reconstructive serum applied to damp strands.
0330 minutes under a thermal cap for maximum absorption.
04Blow-dry and light iron to set amino acids into the cortex.
05Light rinse and style.

Frequently asked
What is Deep Repair Therapy?
It is an intensive protein reconstruction treatment that fills gaps in the cuticle, rebuilds elasticity and restores moisture to hair that has been damaged by bleaching, heat, colour or over-processing. It does not straighten or significantly change your texture. Your natural curl stays, but becomes softer and more defined.
How is it different from a Brazilian Blowout?
A Brazilian Blowout smooths and seals the cuticle with liquid keratin and reduces frizz significantly. Deep Repair Therapy focuses on rebuilding internal structure, not on smoothing. If your hair is breaking, feeling hollow or losing elasticity, Deep Repair Therapy is the right starting point.
Does it contain formaldehyde?
No, it is 100% formaldehyde-free and acid-free. The formula is built around amino acids, vitamins and caviar oil, designed purely for structural hair health.
How long does it take?
Around 2 hours for most hair lengths. The treatment includes a conditioning phase under the hood dryer, which is the part clients seem to enjoy most. There is no rushing that step because the heat absorption is what makes the amino acids actually bond.
How often should I get Deep Repair Therapy?
Every 4 to 6 weeks if your hair is significantly damaged. Once your hair is in better condition, you can space it out to every 8 weeks or combine it with your colour appointments as a protective add-on.
Can I combine it with highlights?
Yes. It is ideal after bleach or highlights to repair the cuticle, restore moisture and neutralise colour oxidation.
Is it suitable for natural or afro-textured hair?
Yes. Deep Repair Therapy works well on all hair types, including natural, afro-textured, locs and transitioning hair. It adds moisture and protein without flattening or altering the texture.
What Kayla sees most often with damaged hair
The clients who come in most distressed are usually those who have been bleaching at home, or who have been using box colour on top of existing chemical treatments. The hair looks okay from the outside but feels like straw when you run your fingers through it. Deep Repair Therapy is often the first step before anything else is possible. Kayla does a quick elasticity test at the start of every appointment to understand where the hair actually is before deciding on a plan.
